Austin Partners in Education APIE is looking for motivated, student-centered individuals to join our College Readiness team for the school year! This is a full-time contract position that ends May 27, Start date is flexible, but ideally in August. These initiatives blend high school and college coursework to help students develop technical skills, earn dual college credit, and pursue in-demand career paths.

Advocates also advise their students on college and career pathways and support their students in developing the non-academic skills necessary for a successful postsecondary experience. Lastly, Advocates work closely with program management to build and sustain community partnerships at assigned AISD campuses, and to help build a college-going culture within the school district.

Advocates work collaboratively with their teammates, supervisors, and campus partners to deliver holistic college readiness support for their students. At the same time, CR Advocates work independently to lead small classes and manage a caseload of up to 70 students. Advocates continue receiving professional development throughout the school year. In addition to managing a tutoring caseload, CR Advocates will gain experience in creating and maintaining strategic partnerships, effectively managing competing priorities, and developing strong communication skills.

Advocates will also need to be responsive and receptive to team leaders across multiple campuses and grade levels throughout the school year.
