Food was great, but service was sub par. We had to remind the hostess that we were there before someone came to our table and there were a couple other service mix ups during our meal. They were probably understaffed and busy, but for the price we expected better service.
Highly recommend the pimento fritters appetizer and trout entree. Michael was amazing! Great food. Ambience is usually great and able to converse easily.

We also were sat at a table next to a huge fan, which made conversation difficult Just chanced on this restaurant in Charlottesville Virginia and what a find! Friendly staff right from the beginning being seated. Server came quickly and we had Mariposas cocktails and wine.
The pimento fritters were excellent and their local salad had watermelon and goat cheese and a really good dressing. We shared the trout and ribs, got whipped potatoes, shaved brussels sprouts and fantastic broccoli.
