Everything is priced reasonably and the service is excellent for the most part. Management is attentive and friendly. We consider going to Mickey and Mooch's anytime we want to impress anyone from out of town Keep up the great work as my wife and I would be hurt without you.
I've been there three times, and I will go back again. The crab cakes are awesome. The wine list is wallet friendly and palate pleasing. The service is genuine, warm and attentive. This is not a restaurant for rubes and their unbridled brats.
It is up-scale without the pretentiousness. Romantic date or business date, you will not be disappointed. Excellent value, food, service and atmosphere.
All around great restaurant. You walk in to a revolving door and the 3 section restaurant fron dining facing Arboretum parking, middle section bar and back dining area facing lake are inviting. GREAT maganement who always make you feel special. Heard about the new change of the place. My family and I arrived this past Friday on for our reservation, we were sat accordingly.
Music was a bit too loud, didnt really expect to hear Brickhouse and Frank Sinatra on the same night. Service was better than great, the food was awesome, the pumpkin cheesecake was great. Asked to see the manager to compliment him on his staff and menu, he comes out with a boxed chocolate cake. Apparently he was tipped off that this was our 1st time there, he thanked us for coming out and also booked my companys Christmas party on the spot.
Now, if they'd just get a chef! The owner does pretty good cooking, but just don't have the ""seasoning technique"" as a chef! Took 2 hours from seating to leaving. Service absolutely horrible. Best part of meal were the truffle fries we had for appetizer and the saltimbocca topping on my steak, although once it returned from kitchen the proscuitto was missing. It was very enjoyable. I will visit again. Always good food. Also good portions of food and drinks.
Wait staff was great Friday night. Great spot for bringing the kids. Everything on the menu is wonderful. We went on a Thursday at and it was not busy.
However, we were kept waiting by the hostess while she bussed a table, After we were seated our drink orders were taken. After the drinks were delivered we had to wait too long before our meal order was taken after we had to flag down a waiter. We all ordered ribs which were good. However we ordered fries to share before the entrees. The fries were not delivered.
Instead an order of brussels sprouts arrived with our ribs. Food was great but the service was a little slow. Overall, though, the experience was good. The food was delicious. The service was poor! He was not very engaging nor very friendly. But he never came back.
We were with another couple. There was no apology or anything. That was disappointing also. The noise level was awful. They packed us in like sardines. My husbands arm kept hitting the lady at the next table. It seems to me with restaurant week they would have known how many reservations they had and would have the servers to attend to the people.
For many of us who try it at a time like us and have a bad experience may not come back with service and noise like we had. The food was delicious, the ambience was great little more light to see the menu our server, we felt wasn't very attentive, but he was very nice. We will definitely come back again. It took about 30 mins to place our order.
The food was not warm. We had issues with our table set up and the Manager on duty wasn't very nice in talking to me about it. We sat apprx. However, kudos to the Chef because the meal was outstanding and each order was cooked to perfection. If I ever return there, it will not be during Charlotte Restaurant Week.
